With Easter just around the corner I wanted to share a few thoughts about what Easter means to me. It would be neat to hear from others on what it means to you.

Let me begin by speaking about the things Easter seems to mean to some… Easter bunnies and colored eggs and Egg hunts or the new Easter outfits, dressing up with spring fineries. While those things can be a part of the entire package and I guess that it all has its place in the big picure. This only scratches the material surface of what Easter really means to me.

It all began so long ago when a child was born of a virgin who’s name was Mary. His name is Jesus. His life on earth had meaning and purpose and He fulfilled much during his walk on this planet. He then did something very very special and important for all of mankind…He went to a cross and He willingly died. He took upon Himself the sins of the entire world and He died for us all. He went to the grave and then something fantastic happened!!!! He AROSE! Up from the grave He arose…with a mighy triumph over His foes. He arose the victor from the dark domain and He lives forever with His saints to reign….He arose!!!!! what powerful mighty words are these two words..they have the ability to change people from death to life.

Dead in sins, dead to spiritual fellowship with God and then because of Christ Jesus’ death buriel and ressurrection we can be transported from spiritual death to new life in Christ Jesus! THAT is Easter….

One of my joys in life is to share my faith with others…I enjoy talking about my faith in Jesus Christ, Who He is and What He has done for those of us who will believe and put their faith and trust in Him.

So today I wanted to blog about God’s marvellous and wonderful plan for us in this generation. As we read and study the bible we soon discover that God had different plans for different era’s of time (I like to call them dispensations of time because that is what God calls them in his word. Some people call them eonomies of time and that’s true as well. But in God’s wondrous plan for the ages He has done some very amazing things for each era of mankind.

I would love to share a timeline with you of God’s plan for the ages…but am not sure if there would be enough time or space to do it all at once so perhaps I will begin in today’s blog. We will see that God’s word is true when it says God never changes, Who He is in all of His glory remains the same…but..God’s plan for the ages have changes in them…but in those changes its still all a part of His wondrous plan for the ages.

Of course the timeline would start with the beginning….In the beginning God created Adam and then from Adam he made Eve and they pro-created….this on my timeline will be called “The mainstream of all humanity” One Race of People. And up to the time of Abraham this was true. During that time between Adam and Abraham the world became so very wicked and so God destroyed the earth by a flood where all but Noah and his family, wife, three sons and their wives were destroyed. But Noah and his family was saved. After the flood the word began to popluate once again and it got even more wicked….and finally after the tower of Babel God, because of their wickedness scattered these people and gave them different languages….Then about 2000 years B.C. Abraham was spoken to by God and he told Abram to go to a particular land that God was going to give him and he made a covenant with Abram and changed his name to Abraham. In this covenant God tells Abraham that he is going to make a great nation out of his family…and as Abraham’s family came into being, so too did the Jewish nation come into being. They became a nation of God’s people. The Jewish Nation eventually was called Israel. They were out of the Mainstream of people..the other people that were not Jewish people are sometimes called Gentiles, or barbarians or Greeks or Heathen in the bible. As we travel on down through this timeline we will see God’s plan for these peoples as well.

Well today is another day, a very sunshiney day , bright and beautiful…. it reminds me of the Sonshine that shines within the hearts and lives of every true believer!

Heavenly Sonshine, heavenly Sonshine, flooding my soul with glory divine. Isn’t God truly amazing?

Back to the timeline of yesterday’s blog.

We left off at Abraham and the nation of Israel…a people called out of God to be HIS chosen people. You’ll find all of this in the book of Genesis and expecially Genesis chapter 12. So after Abraham, God sent this man named Moses to lead His people and through this man the law was given. Moses went to the mountain and recieved the law on tablets of stone. The law was given to show the people their sinful ways…

Times goes on and the Nation of Israel has judges to guide them and then they wanted a King so God gave them Kings and yet the people still did wickedly and disobeyed God’s laws and commandments until the Babylonians destroy the Jew’s temple and they go into captivity. At this time Israel is under one Gentile power after another. (remember Gentile means anyone other than the Jewish Nation) So their were Medes and Persians (Gentile) nations who were in power during these times. It is sometimes called the “Times of the Gentiles”.

Please keep in mind as you read this that I am giving a condensed version of the timeline of history that God had set forth in His Marvellous plan for the ages.

Tomorrow I will continue forth towards the cross.

As I read the words in the bible today (Luke 22 and 23) about the account of the events preceding the cross for Jesus, I was so very touched and reminded of just what our Saviour suffered because of His great love towards us. How he spent his last passover on earth with his close friends, His disciples. Then He went to the Garden of Gethsemene to pray…Then his arrest and trial and beatings and then the cross! Today is called Good Fiday, but it was a very very difficult day for our Saviour and I think it very fitting to take some time out of our busy lives to stop and consider just what He went through and willingly….for us!

The historical time line will be continued after the Easter Holiday, but for now I just want to focus upon the work of the cross,

Its the Saturday morning before Easter and my husband and I are spending Easter with my son who lives up north in our state. We are preparing our hearts and minds for the Easter celebration tomorrow. We plan to go to church to worship and thank God for His resurrection power so that on this day so many years ago Jesus Christ arose from the grave, a victor over death! He is my champion, my knight in shining armour, my rescuer, all rolled into this one wonderous, magnificiant person named Jesus Christ! Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

The sun is shining and the birds are chirping this beautiful morning in Michigan and I look forward to this day, for this is the day that the Lord has made, and I will be glad and rejoice in it!

I’ve noticed that no on else is blogging on this website, I surely hope people will come and use this lovely spot to share their ideas, hopes, dreams, prayers or praises, so that we can become a little community right here online.

So for today I will close with this HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! and may God bless you!

Good Morning, Easter Sunday was spent up north with my son and Monday was travelling back home and unpacking and all of those fun things. But today is a bright new day…a day to return to my biblical historical timeline.

We ended last week at beginning of The Times of the Gentiles:

After Israel’s captivity which encompassed many years, they were released from bondage and only 44 thousand returned to their homeland. The rest of them began migrating throughout the then known world.

Then Christ was born and grew and then began his ministry then his arrest, his trial and his crucifixion took place. After Christ’s death and resurrection and before he ascended to heaven, he spent 40 days where He continued to walk among them. Before he ascended he told them that he would send them a comfortor. (The Holy Spirit).

Those who believed his message about the Kingdom of God were Jewish believers. Not to be confused with the Jews that lived according to the law of Moses. The Jewish Christian believers were Christ’s flock. Then 40 days after the resurrection Christ ascended to heaven.

Its another beautiful sunny day here, and we are going to go for a nice ride and then eat at Joe’s Crab Shack for an early supper. Hope everyone is enjoying nice weather, wherever you may live. My hearts desire is for all that read this blog to have a safe and healthy day. A day blessed by God, a day where your focus is upon this wonderful God!

As we return to the time line we left off with Christ’s ascension into heaven and the Jewish new believers are awaiting pentecost for when their promised comfortor would come.

Pentecost arrives and we find the Jewish believers from all over the known world, arriving in Jerusalem. (See Acts 2 ) and they are all gathered together when the Holy Spirit comes upon them all. After the Holy Spirit comes upon them, then they are to go into all nations preaching the good news of the kingdom

In Acts 1:8 Jesus says to his followers….”But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

The small flock of believers in Christ went about sharing the gospel and they received persecution from the Jews of the circumcision (those who believed they had to still live by the law) and there came a man from the Jews who lived by the law and his name was Saul and he persecuted the early Jewish believers in Christ.

Next Saul comes on the scene

Today I’m going to take a break from my time line. Some people wonder, If I were to write my own bog just what would I say, can I talk about my children, or my home life….just what would I write about?” So today I wanted to write about what blogging means to me, what it is for and why I enjoy blogging like I do.

Its a place to express ones self, to comment on any given subject. It can sound like a teaching tool or it can be a place to vent one’s pet peeve’s or it can be a place to express what’s in our hearts and minds in regards to God and His word. It can be a place to express spiritual needs or concerns.

The Great God of this universe is so wonderfully marvellous that I could blog til the Rapture comes about His great love for us and my love and thankfulness to Him in return. The bible says that we love Him because He first loved us and so today I have been pondering the many ways that we can show and express our love.

So when I blog, its simply to release the bubbling of of the love that God has produced in me.
Christ in my the hope of Glory…is my lifetime verse.

So come join me in blogging!!! Let your hearts open up and allow the love to gush forth. Have a great day in our Heavenly Father’ love.
