Can we forget to be thankful…?

Today in this new day of the week, I asked God to unlatch me and unhook me from the harbored resentments, cares, worries, fears and all those things that take my focus off God and Jesus who is the same. We turn to Heb. 13:15,

["...15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name...]

And I thought why don’t we give God thanks for change and instead of moaning and complaining. And took on a difficult blog topic today in the monday day. But I will make an effort in faith to give God thanks for all his benefits. We certainly are not hungry or thirty or without clothing or homeless. But I do pray I’m delievered from my spiritual poverty, that is something to be sad about. The soul needs to be nutured spiritually and take some time out to be with God.

And when we don’t give thanks or become uncharitable that it not a good sign. We really need to talk to God about this and be delivered from this maladity. And ever in our most diligent effort to be namely diligent we forget the first love we have or had for God and Christ who is namely the same. Let finish with a warning to bring us out. Revelations 2:1-7,

["...1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God...]

Yes, even in our finest hour of what ever we think we are doing we can fall off the thanks giving circuit. May you be blessed. Amen.

I must be warned that the devil is out to tear out our thanks-giving to shreds. He is out to make our day miserable to accomplish this purpose. May God helps us deal with out turned-off souls and bring us refreshment again and a smile on our face.

    “give God thanks for change”
That statement spoke loudly to me.
I often have a problem with change! It makes me nervous!!
After I’m used to the change whatever it may be I generally become thankful. But at the first sight of “change”.. I don’t leap with gratitude.
I pull against change just like a dog pulls against the leash of it’s master when learning to be lead.
I need to be more thankful for the changes God brings… after all, without change life would get rather dull. Or maybe even harmful… God leads & guides us in His path.
No need to pull against Him, only rejoice that he is the master who holds the other end of the leash. He will not lead us to harm.

“give God thanks for change” I like that!
    Keep an attitude of gratitude!

We thank you ‘stormylane’ for you kind comment, amen and kudos. Thank you and God for standing behind our President of the greatest Nation in the world. No matter how we like him or not, he is the president God has pleased himself to guide us. We should be like Moses in the mountain raising his arms to heaven praying for the battle below and victory will not come from below but from heaven, but as for our great president Obama, we stand behind him because God does. May you be blessed and many thanks. Amen.

While I agree that we should PRAY for our rulers, (not accept them blindly just because they were elected by a majority of NON-Christians) there isn’t much great about our current president. He is so antiChristian, if I didn’t know better, I’d say he was the anti-Christ in the flesh. The only cool thing about him is that he represents a minority in this GREAT nation that was long suppressed. JMHO

I really see that you don’t understand how blessed we are in nation that God has blessed so enormously. Perhaps we live in our comfty house and have full refrigerator and pantry.

And that’s where our president is working most hard that we have or three squared decent meals a day. One week in office and he went to Saudi Arabia and try to make peace with those who really control our economy- oil to keep our jobs and tummy full.

Previous administration have done a lot of damage to the relations with oil producing countries and we really wondered upon the economy. But this admistration has been able to pacify the stern rhetoric against those we need so much.

Maybe this president may not follow our christian values. But how christian are we if we are so ungrateful to someone who keep our shirts on our back.

Maybe you never been hungry but I advice you not to test God with how religious we are and give God thanks to appeal and perhaps God will give give our president more wisdom to look out for our greater interest- our belly and not our religious vanity. May you be blessed.

I understand more than you could possibly know. However, my hands are tied. I will pray for you brother.

I really took no delight in lashing out at such a nice girl like you. And I know you understand more than I thought. Please forgive me. I let the devil separate us who on the same team.

Keep up the good work. May you be blessed. Amen.

Perhaps we have a time when things become disconcerting and flip. But this matter of being thankful is an important topic. When we are thankful our soul is at peace with God and we appreciate all the good

things he’s done, is doing and will do for us. But we thankfully have to trust him and put our faith in him. Specially in the wake of peril of violence and global flu epedemic, we don’t want to be away from the

Lord. I really hope I understand what this means. God does appreciate that we thank him for all his benefits, confess all our sins and come to him in time trouble and need. He is there for us and how thankful

we are for that. May you have a pleasant evening and morning. Amen.

Part of the other business of being unthankful and I think it’s a kind of blindness of the heart, where we focus on our wants and problem and really don’t think God has been good enought to us.

Little children are taught or used to be taught to say thank you when someone gave them something of a gift. But I think in this narcissist society we don’t want to thank anyone.

We don’t like our politics, we don’t like our economy, we don’t like this and or that. And the proble with that is that when I think that way I’m not in the mood to be charitable and patient with others.

And God is concerned about this, of this unthankful and uncharitable syndrome. Who know we may be the generation who meets the anti-christ in person. And he will be unthankful to God and uncharitable like the

society who will spawn him. It had to be in this society to apawn such a despicable person. He will not let you buy hamburger unless you acknoledge him. It’s time of trouble for this or that society.

Forget the rapture business, that somethink someone who spawn in denial of what is comin right out ahead. And this despicable, unthankful, uncharitable person will not be charmed with anything.

I think it’s going to be a time when the unthankful meet their match. May we never meet this person coming into the world. Amen.

    Love,

    Quietpond
