With Easter around the corner, we would love to hear what Easter means to you. Feel free to share in whatever way you feel comfortable! For the Easter season, you may want to check out one of our favorite Easter titles, The True Easter Story by Ray Vander Laan, author of the “Faith Lessons, That the World May Know” series.

With Easter just around the corner I wanted to share a few thoughts about what Easter means to me. It would be neat to hear from others on what it means to you.

Let me begin by speaking about the things Easter seems to mean to some… Easter bunnies and colored eggs and Egg hunts or the new Easter outfits, dressing up with spring fineries. While those things can be a part of the entire package and I guess that it all has its place in the big picture. This only scratches the material surface of what Easter really means to me.

It all began so long ago when a child was born of a virgin who’s name was Mary. His name is Jesus. His life on earth had meaning and purpose and He fulfilled much during his walk on this planet. He then did something very very special and important for all of mankind…He went to a cross and He willingly died. He took upon Himself the sins of the entire world and He died for us all. He went to the grave and then something fantastic happened!!!! He AROSE! Up from the grave He arose…with a mighty triumph over His foes. He arose the victor from the dark domain and He lives forever with His saints to reign….He arose!!!!! what powerful mighty words are these two words..they have the ability to change people from death to life.

Dead in sins, dead to spiritual fellowship with God and then because of Christ Jesus’ death burial and resurrection we can be transported from spiritual death to new life in Christ Jesus! THAT is Easter….

Easter is a beautiful way to celebrate the resurrection of our precious Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! It’s a time for fresh new life to surface, and new beginnings to abound all around. What a special time for spiritual refreshment in every Christian’s life to occur! :)

Oh Easter… my most favorite event of the season.
I see so much in Easter… new hopes, beginnings… spiritual refreshment. Revival even. Personal revival & revival in the ministry.

We need to keep the resurrection of Christ fresh in our hearts. Often as mature Christians we neglect to keep the most important part of our faith alive.
Easter reminds me to keep my walk with Jesus as alive & new as the spring flowers.

I just had to re-visit this random post, but not so random for me, because I have forgotten the broken bread, the sipped wine and the washing of each others feet…

But what does that mean to me and what have I forgotten- how our Lord was crucified for me and how his blood was shed for my sins and worst of all I’ve forgotten to be a servant of my fellows…

I had to remember what the gospel is all about, sharing the broken body of Christ, but now its July and how we need to be clean by now after a half year of who know what I done…

But my God is ever faithful and his cross covers me forever, but then worst of worst, I forgotten that he broke the bread and said to the Father,…”Thank you…!”
