Have you tried SkyAngel IPTV?

Who has tried SkyAngel’s IPTV? We recently signed up and are quite impressed. The tv runs on the internet connection in my home and picks up only faith based broadcasting and/or family networks for a small monthly fee. The cool thing is I don’t have to monitor the television from kids, because there are no channels that have stuff on there we don’t mind them seeing. Since we didn’t have satellite tv or cable before, we didn’t get ANY tv watching except when we rented movies or put in the dvds/vhs tapes we own. Now we can live in the 21st century again and can get the news, weather, movies, cartoons, preaching, music and videos, educational tv, animal shows, sit coms, home and garden shows, the list goes on and on. I just love it! It use to be that you had to have a special dish on your roof for it but just recently they went high tech! Anyone else try it yet? Pros and Cons?

I got Sky Angel last year when they changed from satellite and it’s great. I can’t have outside equipment in my condo and I really wanted something different to watch. I really love Christian music, so I watch a lot of the video channels (Spirit, GMC) and my husband likes the NFL channel. I still have cable, but I watch it less and less (they’re so little to like on most of those channels) and lowered my plan there to cover the cost, worth every penny. I encourage anyone who’s a Christian to check it out.

I’ve not tried this… how exactly does it go through your internet?
I have DSL which we all know goes through the phone line.
    Would skyangel work this way?

  • Heather

Yeah, they give you a box that picks up your DSL signal through wireless technology and transmits it to your TV. All you need is to have a fast enough connection and you can even test that on their site. Here’s the link to test your speed:

Oh boy, that was interesting. I love technology!
    … I have 1302 of the 1500 kilobits needed.

But truly, it’s amazing how technology is advancing!
Don’t blink, ya might miss the next upgrade. lol
