"It's time for God's people to be in prayer"

Hello to the CBB community this morning! I stay connected to the Focus Action alerts as they keep the things Christians care the most about in the forefront of OUR news. Today, we have two very important resources for you to help you understand these challenging times.

First, the team just completed a new Focus Action Update to discuss the upcoming Supreme Court vacancy and the rapidly advancing hate crimes legislation. These two issues will impact every Christian in the nation and I encourage you to take a moment right now to watch this special report.

Dr. Dobson’s Warning and Challenge

Also, Dr. James Dobson just recorded a special video message for a pro-family event in California. In this message, Dr. Dobson clearly lays out the challenge facing Christians right now as the government implements new and more hostile attacks on our faith and families:

“Now, perhaps more than ever in our nation’s history, it’s crucial that Christians stand up for their faith and for the defense of His Word,” Dr. Dobson says. “I’m convinced that if God’s people do not seek His blessing and mercy, the Church will be tested severely, as if by fire, over the coming weeks and years.”

National Year of Prayer!

As Dr. Dobson states in the video, “When there are no checks and balances within the entire range of government, it’s time for God’s people to be in prayer.” Yesterday, millions of Americans recognized the National Day of Prayer. I encourage you to extend this special day of prayer to a new commitment to pray for our nation throughout this entire year. As Ben Franklin said when the leaders of our new nation faced an impossible divide at the Constitutional Convention:

“I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth — that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without his aid?

Franklin’s works echo those of Daniel, who wrote, “The Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men” (Daniel 4:25). Yes, these are challenging times… perilous times. Political and cultural forces are at work to undermine our faith and destroy the family. But God governs in the affairs of men, and He hears us when we cry out to Him. Thanks for your faithful stand, and may God bless you.

I agree and in my view we need to be crying out for the fire of god to burn all the junk in use away and for the holy spirit to fill us because there is a lot on Christians we are sad, struggling, hurting, etc. but we are coming into a season where God will restore us and bless us and every bad thing goes away and gets turned around. The Lord changed me when I watched goldandglory on the web wow I will never be the same.

I always like to retun to blogs like this one because it, they remind me to wake up and rekindle my committement and prayers to God to intervene for me, us and our nation…

I can’t afford to take thing for granted and expect him to act if I haven’t done the least took ten minutes and asked him for it…
