Wake Up!

Some times we get bogged down with the affairs of each day and we get weary.  But the fact of the matter is that even if we quit, God’s work is never done until he make his appearance.  Have you really done any good works for God?

In the Parable of the Ten Mina, it asks what have you done with the wealth God has entrusted you or me? Have we put the gospel on hold indefinitely and say we will do it tomorrow?  Certain poverty is sure to come if we take a little slumber, a little folding of hand, a little rest here and there and poverty can come upon us and we may wake up doubting everything God has ever told us about himself.

God we look us in the eyes and expect me to render account of everything he has entrusted to me.  Perhaps we’ve fallen asleep and wrapped up with the intrigue of this life. But we have the luxury of repenting of this narco-lepsy in the word. So pray. I pray that the word of God means something again like it use to do. I would be wonderful if I remember the most important things God wants to remind me! Why don’t I look to God and let me awaken from this sleeping beauty syndrome and like Lazarus come out of the grave and hear the voice of Jesus. May you be blessed. Amen.
