Jesus is the best teacher that has ever walked the face of the earth. His teachings influence not only his followers but also the present-day believers. His disciples trained under him like an apprentice—listening to his preaching, travailing the paths he walked on, obeying his commandments and imitating his every way, thought, speech, and character.

In his new book, Apprentice: Walking in the Way of Christ”, Steve Chalke leads one in a journey towards being a 21st century apprentice of rabbi Jesus in whatever sphere of influence you are in. This short book is an easy read replete with stories, illustrations, and commentary that will become a learning experience majoring on ten foundational yet crucial areas.

As a social activist and a pastor in UK, he combined societal issues with spirituality. Through this book, participant’s guide and 5-session DVD, Pastor Steve points us back to the reality that we are all apprentices desiring to emulate Jesus in every single way imaginable. It covers five topics—Journeying, Longing, Believing, Questioning, and Belonging. The deep personal relationship with Jesus is the foundation of such apprenticeship.

Apprentice is available in CBB Christian bookstore.
