Are you a Christian High School student who is passionate about Jesus and eager to learn more about Him? Do you know the foundational truths on the Scriptures? Do you have answers to anyone who challenges your faith and beliefs? Are you willing to spend 24 hours to be informed, trained and equipped on the word of God?
Faith Baptist Church in Kent, WA along with ConvergeNW Student Ministries will host a high energy conference for 200+ high school students on March 25 8PM – March 26 8PM. The theme for this Ignition 2011 Conference is on God’s Word. Pastor Pen Cook of Paradox Bible Church will be the special guest speaker.
Workshops will focus on—
- Where did the Bible come from? Divine vs. Human in origin and the Canon, Archaeology
- How do I read the Bible? Literal Interpretation, Illumination by the Holy Spirit, Grammatical Principles, Historical Context, Teaching Ministry, Scriptural Harmony
- What’s the Big Picture? Walk Through the Bible, What the Bible is all about – How do I study in order to teach? Homiletics strategy – Why do I need to read the Bible? Self help vs. Revelation from God
- How does the Holy Spirit illuminate Scripture? Spiritually discerned concepts
